Minimum requirements for the role:
  • A relevant marketing degree is essential for this role. 
  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in marketing and branding or related is essential for this role.    
  • Previous experience in marketing and advertising with previous experience working at a senior management level.
  • Must be an energetic and intuitive marketing strategist with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Must have a proven ability to identify opportunities and deliver effective strategies to generate results.
  • Proficient in traditional and digital marketing, highly skilled in visual communications.
  • Must have excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of building and executing a marketing strategy that positively impacts awareness and business growth. Excellent written skills with the ability to present at board level and inspire a team.
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams, allocating resources to different projects and setting short-term and long-term department goals.

  • Knowledge on brands promotion, management and equity as well as digital marketing experience, insights, and strategy execution and extensive market and consumer research knowledge is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Leading and driving a full marketing team by overseeing and managing all design and implementation of the marketing strategy and branding and position strategy to build and maintain brand perception within the target audience, including employees and all external stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Preparing, participating, and contributing to annual company strategy, cross departments, and provide relevant market insights per strategic intent.
  • Generating demand with curated marketing tactics.
  • Defining digital strategy to support e-commerce and stand-alone campaigns or in 360 executions.
  • Researching and profiling markets and target audience per microenvironment, regional and national market.
  • Initiating and implementing tailored communication to target audience by supporting all company initiatives.
  • Analysing the running of marketing campaigns and adapting to performance that leverage behavioural interest profiling to drive new client acquisition and sales revenue as well as planning events and trade shows.
  • Continuously measuring brand perception and adapt to capture customer of tomorrow and or renovate brand to meet desired perception as well as compiling and updating Company Identification (CI).
  • Designing and implementing continuous favourable employment brands.
  • Designing CSI strategy, aligning budget and values and target initiatives with regards to people development, environmental sustainability, infrastructure, building material and aligning and approving sponsorship requests.
  • Presenting reports for board level.
  • And working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across departments to ensure there is buy in and understanding regarding future marketing campaigns trends, competition, and new opportunities.
  • Managing the brand to ensure consistent communication of the organisation’s mission and values across all channels and will ensure that the integrity of the brand is maintained and promoted.
  • Overseeing and developing the delivery of a corporate communications strategy to build the organisation’s brand and reputation, including writing, editing effective model and measure success.
  • Designing branding and positioning strategies for marketing teams, including digital, advertising, communications and creative.
  • Preparing and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the marketing department.
  • Analysing consumer behaviour, trends and determine customer personas, designing favourable employment brand strategy and driving team engagement.
  • Identifying opportunities to reach new market segments, expanding market share and driving innovation.
  • Monitoring and analysing competition and impact on strategy and coordinating sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness.
  • Leading the corporate social investment and sponsorship strategy and implementation plan.
