SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the management and maintenance of forklift, battery, and charger stock. Additionally, it involves providing support to the Rental, Sales, and Aftermarket departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with loading and offloading forklifts.
Ensure Material Handling Equipment remains clean, operational, and equipped with charged batteries.
Inspect and charge batteries as needed.
Monitor and report on the condition of chargers.
Verify that batteries, chargers, and plug specifications match the forklift requirements before dispatch or upon return from customers.
Perform minor repairs as instructed, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and promptly.
Assist in dismantling equipment for inspections, quotations, and repairs, as well as in reassembling equipment.
Inspect forklifts before dispatch and upon return for damages, tyre conditions, and signs of misuse.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, storage, and yard while prioritizing ASEC standards.
Update and manage battery and charger stock records.
Capable of performing job functions independently when required.

Must have requirements:

Code 8/Valid Driver’s License
Valid Forklift Operator License
Minimum Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant job-related experience
Experience working with batteries and charging equipment.
