Our client is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for their warehouse in Port Elizabeth

Job Requirements

• Matric
• Diploma in Logistics Management
• Warehouse Supervisor experience is essential
• FMCG Experience
• SAGE
• Health and Safety knowledge

1. Inventory Management

• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records using warehouse management systems.

2. Team Leadership

• Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and shifts.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
• Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns effectively.

3. Operational Oversight

• Oversee the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
• Monitor and adjust workflow to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine safety checks and emergency drills.
• Ensure the warehouse complies with company policies and legal requirements.

5. Logistics Coordination

• Schedule and oversee incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to resolve shipping and delivery issues.
• Monitor the condition of goods during storage and transit to prevent damage.

6. Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and present operational reports, including KPIs and productivity metrics.
• Maintain records of stock movements, transactions, and incidents.
• Handle administrative duties such as timekeeping and performance reporting.

7. Equipment and Facility Maintenance

• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Coordinate repairs or replacements for damaged machinery and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.

8. Process Improvement

• Identify and address inefficiencies in warehouse operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows and storage solutions.
• Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate best practices.

9. Customer Service

• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Resolve complaints related to inventory, deliveries, or operational issues.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill customer requirements.
