Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team and lead operations in the Warehouse. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a background in warehouse operations, and a passion for optimizing processes

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Warehouse Operations:
  Oversee all activities in the Warehouse, ensuring stock is managed, shelved, and labeled correctly, and that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to leader for coordinating stock activities and making sure every step follows best practices.
• Manage Inventory:
  Supervise the binning and storage of new stock, ensuring accurate product labeling and proper stock allocation. Participate in and supervise weekly and annual stock takes, keeping everything on track and addressing discrepancies as needed.
• Staff Leadership:
  Our client is looking for someone who can effectively manage a team of assemblers, providing clear instructions, conducting performance appraisals, and supporting staff development. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the team stays motivated and productive.
• Collaboration & Problem Solving:
  Work closely with buyers, clerks, and dispatch teams to resolve any stock issues, ensure smooth communication, and improve operational workflows. You’ll be expected to proactively identify and resolve any operational challenges that arise.
• Maintain High Standards:
  Ensure excellent housekeeping practices in the warehouse, creating a clean and safe working environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high organizational standards.

• Experience:
  5-8 years of experience in a warehouse environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector. Experience in managing stock, coordinating tasks, and leading a team will be key to success in this role.
• Education:
  A Grade 12 qualification is required, along with a Pharmacy Assistant Basic and Post Basic qualification, which would be an added advantage.
• Skills & Competencies:
  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Our client is looking for someone who can handle the fast pace of warehouse operations while maintaining accuracy and safety. A good understanding of stock management, warehouse practices, and compliance standards is a must.
