VISUAL MERCHANDISING PROJECT MANAGER SA LUXURY (EE) | CAPE TOWN
R800,000.00 CTC PER ANNUM
Our client, a leading global FMCG brand are looking for a Visual Merchandise Project Manager SA Luxury to join their Commercial team.
JOB PURSPOSES:
As the VM Project Manager your focus will be on executing best in class on shelf executions,
instore animations, permanent merchandise builds, and other brand specific and localised executions.
YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’
Your main areas of responsibility will include but is not limited to the following:
Budget Management
Managing a marketing VM budget
§ Budget tracking PM and VM
§ Cost negotiation with partners/suppliers for best competitive rates
§ Ensuring project execution is within assigned budgets
§ Budget related administration
Brand Performance
§ Ensure national VM on shelf and visual rights compliance in line with Fashion House requirements
§ Project Management and installation of merchandising materials (TM and PM) in the store and striving for the best-in-class execution
§ Project status meetings weekly
§ Monthly Business review
§ Manage Door and Brand approval with correct adjacencies
Brand Innovation
§ Preparing presentations on merchandising guidelines, visuals, planograms, special
instruction and coordinating overall visual execution in trade
§ Planogram analysis and MDQ + facings detail
§ Location & Brand proposals for PM and new retailers
§ VM POSM local development for launches and in-store relays
§ VM to project manage briefing with suppliers for rollout of Centre courts
§ Building relationships with key global GTM contacts for each brand
§ Having close relationships with Brand Managers and Field staff
§ Door and brand approvals
Forecasting
§ Forecasting for all required VM non-saleable with respective Brand Managers p/brand
§ Monthly Managing inventory levels and master data of all non-saleable
Sales Support and Administration
§ Obtaining all documentation related to store openings, floorplans, installation permits
etc
§ Caretaking all ongoing maintenance for current units across the full estate
§ Maintaining an accurate in store database with detailed visual requirements (audits)
§ Relevant administration and reporting
§ Brand shelf and door tracker (audits and maintenance)
Permanent Merchandising
§ Negotiating best spaces in retailers based on brand adjacencies and minimum space requirements
§ Store plan proficiency understanding (including technical detail)
§ PM location and Design proposals
§ Project Management
§ Budget and P&L alignment with Brand Manager
§ Building relationships with key global GTM contact’s P/brand
Suppliers
§ Agency and supplier’s management, ensuring quality production and installation work is done on time
§ Building relationships with key suppliers
§ Creating clear creative and technical briefs and timelines rollouts per project
MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
§ Relevant Degree or equivalent experience
§ Minimum 3 years management and project management experience in an equivalent role in the retail industry
§ An understanding of trends and an ability to respond to customers’ wishes
§ Experience with and an understanding of market research
§ Ability to work with a wide range of audiences in diverse environments

§ Team working skills
§ Written and verbal communication skills
§ Time and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

§ 1 week per quarter JHB/KZN
§ 1 year Botswana and Namibia
§ CTN stores once a month
