SUMMARY:
Vice President of Finance you will primarily serve two key functions: leading fundraising efforts at both holding company and project company (SPV) levels, and building a robust finance function to support the company’s growth. You will drive the company’s Series A financing process, help secure project-level equity and debt capital for our SPVs and
manage investor relationships. In parallel, you will establish and oversee a finance function capable of consolidating accounts from multiple jurisdictions, managing regional finances,
and coordinating with external partners to ensure compliance and financial integrity acrossall operations. This role has a clear pathway to the CFO position

Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising and Investor Relations: Lead the structuring and execution of equity and debt fundraising efforts. Manage investor relationships and represent the finance function to the board and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Build and challenge growth plans, develop business models and forecasts, and form long-term strategic financial business plans to support the company’s objectives.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial statements across corporate and regional units. Oversee internal financial control processes to maintain accuracy, compliance, and consistency of financial data in adherence to IFRS accounting standards and regulatory requirements across all regions. Manage external relationships with the company’s auditors.
- Working Capital and Cost Management: Lead cash flow planning and forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and strategic initiatives. Optimize working
capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory, and manage spend/costs to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead finance teams across regions including Southeast Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. Set KPIs and performance standards, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing to align financial processes and best practices.
-Risk Management: Develop a treasury function and implement risk management strategies to minimize exposure related to currency fluctuations, commodities, interest rates, and other financial risks. Ensure robust controls for financial risk management and insurance.
Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years in corporate finance functions such as investment banking, management consulting, ideally with a focus in project finance and equity capital raising.
- Proven experience in international corporate structuring,
- Implementing deal workflows, and managing post-deal integrations.
- Leadership experience with a track record of building and leading high-performing multi-national teams.
- Advanced financial modelling skills, including expertise in market data models, three statement analysis, and valuation.
- Skilled in business modelling and long-term strategic planning, including forecasting and creating financial plans to guide growth.
- Ability to operate in a white space with no established playbook; creative problem solver with a talent for developing innovative solutions and deal structures.
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual rigor, and excellent communication skills to articulate financial strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing investor relationships, with proficiency in presenting financial insights to boards and external stakeholders.
- Growth planning and performance management experience, including setting KPIs, managing budgets, and controlling costs to drive optimal business outcomes.
- Solid accounting and financial operations knowledge to provide credible leadership and ensure financial integrity across the finance team.
- Experience managing external service providers, such as legal, banking, and accounting partners, to ensure seamless operations.
- Public markets experience is advantageous, with insight into managing investor expectations and navigating public market dynamics.
