POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a VMWare Engineer to join their team in Cape town or Johannesburg offices (Hybrid) on a contract basis.

We require an individual with a VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) qualification and extensive on-the-job experience in VMware technologies

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement VMWARE infrastructure for clients
• Monitor and maintain VMWARE environment to ensure optimal performance and availability Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMWARE infrastructure
• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide technical recommendations
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of VMWARE infrastructure with other systems
• Stay updated with the latest VMWARE technologies and make recommendations for improvements
• Develop and maintain documentation related to VMWARE infrastructure and processes Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 7 years of experience as a VMWARE Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of VMWARE virtualization technologies and products
• A VCAP certification.
• Proven experience in managing and optimizing large and complex VMware environments.
• Experience with VMWARE vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi - Knowledge of server hardware and storage technologies
