POSITION INFO:
Education and Certifications:

Grade 12
Degree/Diploma in Information Technology (BSc) or equivalent
ITIL V3, A+ for server systems, MCP/MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP
CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II or greater)

Experience Required:

4+ years in IT Technical Support.
Experience with VMware Horizon View, Windows Desktop Administration, and deployment automation.
Knowledge of basic networking (routers, switches) and IT security in Financial Services.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work flexible hours and provide on-call support.

Key Responsibilities:

Define Windows desktop image standards and deployment methods.
Support infrastructure: storage, networking, load balancing, anti-virus, and profile management.
Monitor user experience, troubleshoot performance issues, and manage endpoints (thin clients, PCs, mobile devices).
Deploy and virtualize applications.
Meet key performance indicators for VDI infrastructure.
Automate system procedures and processes.
Provide 24x7 on-call escalation support.
Document processes and provide technical training to service desk teams.
Support Active Directory and network components.
Analyze and troubleshoot virtual/physical desktops and thin clients.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for VDI environments.
Ensure compliance with security policies.
Interface with vendors during outages and performance issues.
Participate in special projects as needed.
