VAS Messaging Manager

POSITION INFO:

The core purpose/mission of this job is to create workable system wide network VAS solution architectures and designs for the mobile services meeting business and technical requirements. Ensuring that all system and product documentation is kept up to date in a professional manner. The scope of systems under the control of this position includes SDP, VAS HLR, IMPS, MMS, SMS, EIR, WAP, Adman, USSD, WAP, LBS and constantly expands. It is important to note, that this is not fixed and will change from time to time depending on additions of new systems as well as changing resource demands within the broader VAS team

The VAS Messaging and Service Exposure Manager must provide leadership to the team working on development of products and capacity planning of services in line with business requirements and budgetary priorities within VAS Area. The Manager need to make sure projects are tracked, well managed and reported on as well as ensure that Budgetary Planning is done and all systems and products are well documented and monitored. All functions of a Senior Systems Engineer apply in that the Manager also owns various systems and products until team size is deemed to large enough to make this impossible
