Unit Manager – Renal Unit

A leading private healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Manager to oversee its Renal Unit.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Renal Unit to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and best practices.
• Maintain and enhance operational efficiency within the unit.
• Oversee the management of both chronic and acute dialysis treatments.
• Ensure effective utilization of various dialysis machine types (e.g., Braun, Fresenius, Adcock).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain adherence to healthcare regulations and professional standards.

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nephrology Nursing OR a qualified Renal Technologist OR a Registered Nurse with a Post Basic Critical Care qualification and renal experience in both chronic and acute dialysis.
• At least 2 years of renal management experience.
• Management experience in private healthcare is advantageous.
• Proven leadership and people management experience within healthcare.
• Valid SANC or HPCSA registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
