SUMMARY:
A well-established private hospital in Cape Town requires a Unit Manager in the Paediatric Unit. ln this role you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day patient care, supervising, directing, and developing nurse staff, and reporting to the Nursing Manager

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged

Requirements:

Must have a relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing / B Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
Relevant qualification (certificate/diploma) relating to Paediatric Intensive Care.
Registration with the South African Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
3-5 or more years of experience in a private hospital setting.
3-5 years experience in clinical leadership/management.
