POSITION INFO:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced UPS Service Technician with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of UPS systems. The ideal candidate must have experience working with large modular UPS systems up to 200KVA, with strong fault-finding and repair skills down to the component level.
This role is physically demanding and requires a fit, healthy, and strong individual capable of lifting and positioning heavy equipment and batteries. The successful applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to work overtime or respond to call-outs when required.
Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of UPS systems, including large modular units up to 200KVA.
• Routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault finding on UPS systems.
• Component-level repairs, including replacing faulty parts as needed.
• Battery replacements and system upgrades.
• Technical support to clients, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
• Documentation and reporting of service activities, including test results and corrective actions.
• Adhering to safety standards and best practices when working on high-voltage electrical systems.
• Responding to emergency call-outs and working overtime when required.

• Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in UPS installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Extensive experience with large modular UPS units up to 200KVA.
• Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to diagnose and repair component-level issues.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment and batteries.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for service calls.
• Ability to work overtime and attend emergency call-outs when needed.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant electrical qualification or certification in UPS systems is advantageous.
