Our client, a leader in the media industry, is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join their dynamic and fast-paced team, where technology, content, and innovation shape South Africa’s top digital, print, and ecommerce platforms.

What will you do?

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile using tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Ensure alignment of your designs with the existing design system, contributing to its evolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility, high-quality outcomes, and alignment.
• Advocate for user needs by conducting usability tests and iterating designs based on feedback.
• Analyze user data and behavior to inform design decisions and deliver intuitive solutions.
• Regularly communicate and present your design ideas to stakeholders.

What should you have?

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Design
• 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design.
• Proficient in Figma (auto-layout, components, prototyping) and Sketch.
• Knowledge of working with design systems and usability testing tools.
• Experience with usability testing and user research.
• A sharp portfolio showcasing design thinking and cross-platform projects.

• Ability to understand South African audiences' digital behavior.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with news/media platforms or high-traffic digital products.
• Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks or Scrum environments.
• Understanding of South Africa's digital audience and their engagement patterns.
• Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS.
