Training and Development Practitioner

SUMMARY:
New vacancy available for a Training and Development Practitioner for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in Kariega.

POSITION INFO:
Develop and implement training and development strategies to meet the needs of employees and customers while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and design learning programs in collaboration with subject matter experts and production teams.
• Create and customize training content, including technical and digital materials, aligned with production processes and national skills frameworks.
• Facilitate and deliver training interventions using diverse methodologies for varied audiences.
• Design and integrate assessments to evaluate training effectiveness and impact.
• Provide learner guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure skill acquisition and competency development.
• Support critical projects, including new model introductions, engineering changes, and automation technology implementation.
• Deliver foundational production skills training such as standardized work, multi-skilling, and problem-solving.
• Apply lean principles and production systems training.
• Innovate learning methodologies, incorporating virtual training tools, augmented reality, and e-learning platforms.
• Consult with all organizational levels to implement and understand training initiatives aligned with company goals.

• NQF Level 6 degree/diploma in Operations Management, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Advanced PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Business process mapping and data analysis capabilities.
• Team player with the ability to work independently on projects.
