SUMMARY:

Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative

The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Trainee Software developer

Stipend: R5500.00

POSITION INFO:

About the role

Software development intern provides support and troubleshooting of legacy technology solutions as well as scripting, test automation, and test tools.

Responsibilities

Developing & debugging test tools
Learn and use various software development tools for IT
Working knowledge of telecommunications products will help.
Implement entire stories or subset of tasks or fix defects as part of an agile development team
Help maintain debug and monitor warehousing platforms and improve scalability
Help maintain debug and monitor wholesale platform to help usability and functionality
Help Improve automation in the company between various tasks to improve efficiency
Learn critical functional areas in HMH ISG product lines
Edit, modify, and debug software products in accordance with software architecture specifications and internal procedures

Requirements

Qualification in IT.
Strong Written and Verbal skills to communicate with clarity and. brevity to other professionals, including software developers, and programs. managers, product managers, and business analysts.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Sound problem-solving abilities.
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
