A Beautiful Wine Farm is looking for a Tour Guide

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet customers to the tour
• Inform customers about the itinerary for each tour
• Conduct guided tours, providing visitors with detailed and accurate information about the history, culture, and significance of these locations
• Communicate effectively with visitors, answering questions, providing recommendations, and addressing any concerns they may have during the tour
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the tour group throughout the duration of the tour, providing clear instructions and guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience
• Provide exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to exceed visitor expectations and create a positive and memorable experience for all participants
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive light and promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Handle any unexpected situations or disruptions during the tour, such as inclement weather, equipment malfunctions, or visitor emergencies, with calmness and professionalism
• Collaborate with support staff and management to ensure efficient operations and seamless coordination of tours and activities

• Relevant tertiary qualification as a Cultural Guide
• Proven experience as a tour guide or in a related customer service-oriented role
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Valid first aid certificate
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and captivate audiences of varying sizes and backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling the tour guide to build rapport and connect with visitors from different cultures and age groups
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Problem-solving skills to address unexpected situations or challenges that may arise during a tour and find suitable solutions
• Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the varying needs and preferences of visitors, adjusting the tour content or pace as required
