Estimator - Shipping Industry
R30 - R40 000 ctc

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Analyse customer request to generate accurate shipping cost estimates for clients.
Apply for rates with international agents and quote customers in line with their requests.
Understand and interpret shipping documents like MSDS’, invoices, and packing lists to accurately calculate costs.
Communicate with clients to gather shipment details, provide quotes, and address any queries regarding shipping costs and options.

Skills:

Knowledge of Cargowise beneficial but not necessary
Understanding incoterms
Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
Strong attention to detail to avoid errors in calculations
Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with clients and carriers
Ability to clearly explain complex shipping processes to clients
Excellent customer service orientation to address client concerns and build relationships
Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively

Relevant experience:
- Previous experience in the shipping industry.
