SUMMARY:
A vacancy exists for an experienced Theatre Manager to oversee the theatre complex at a healthcare facility. POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate theatre operations to ensure clinical excellence and patient safety
- Oversee the clinical practice within the theatre complex, ensuring adherence to hospital and healthcare regulations
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of healthcare professionals to foster a collaborative working environment
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, including labour legislation and financial management principles
- Assist in driving the hospital’s quality, growth, and people objectives
Qualifications & Requirements:- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- A minimum of 5 years of post-basic experience in nursing, with proven leadership or people management skills
- Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science (mandatory)
- Postgraduate qualification in Management or Nursing Education (advantageous)
- At least 5 years of experience as a qualified theatre nurse
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council
- Understanding of labour laws, financial management, and change management principles
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
