Test Automation Architect – Hybrid Opportunity

SUMMARY:
As a Test Automation Architect, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and refining an automated QA testing framework that sets new standards for efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish robust testing practices and ensure high-quality software delivery.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:
• QA Framework Design – Develop and standardize automated QA testing frameworks using tools like Selenium and Postman
• Process Improvement – Analyze and enhance existing QA practices, implementing AI-driven solutions where applicable
• Automation Deployment – Create and integrate automation scripts for UI, backend, and performance testing
• Training & Documentation – Develop training guides, conduct sessions for QA teams, and maintain documentation of best practices
• Collaboration – Work with developers and QA analysts to troubleshoot and optimize test suites
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience building QA frameworks and processes for complex systems
• Expertise in Selenium, Postman, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Proficiency with SQL (MySQL preferred) and CI/CD build tools (TeamCity is a plus)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:
• Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of practical QA engineering experience
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a bonus

Additional Details:
• The role will start with in-office onboarding and culture integration (in Kenilworth or JHB) for the first 2 months. Afterward, candidates can transition to a hybrid work setup, where they’ll be required to come to the office at least once per month for 4 months, before being considered for full remote work.
