The Tender Application Engineer at our client is responsible for technical liaison between sales and customers, developing technical-commercial responses to RFQs, designing power generation solutions, applying Cummins products and knowledge, developing specifications for turnkey project solutions, conducting value engineering analysis, training sales teams, developing pricing and supplier relationships, responding to customer concerns, and driving the utilization of Cummins tools and processes. To be successful, the engineer needs a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, experience in generator and EPC, designing and execution in construction, and knowledge of the industry customer base. The role involves crafting winning tenders, becoming a technical expert, championing Cummins technology, architecting turnkey projects, driving efficiency, empowering the team, managing pricing and procurement, becoming a customer advocate, and embracing innovation.

Here's what you'll do:

• Become the Technical Expert: Advise sales representatives and translate customer needs into strong technical proposals.
• Craft Winning Tenders: Develop compelling technical and commercial responses to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for gensets and complete power generation solutions.
• Design Powerhouse Solutions: Utilize your knowledge of controllers, switchgear, transformers, and synchronization to design efficient power systems.
• Champion Cummins Technology: Apply your in-depth understanding of Cummins products and tools to create optimal solutions.
• Architect Turnkey Projects: Develop detailed specifications for comprehensive power generation projects.
• Drive Efficiency: Conduct value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Empower the Team: Train and mentor sales teams, fostering knowledge transfer for long-term success.
• Manage Pricing and Procurement: Develop pricing strategies and cultivate strong relationships with market suppliers.
• Become a Customer Advocate: Address customer concerns and ensure a positive experience with Cummins.
• Embrace Innovation: Drive the utilization of cutting-edge Cummins tools and processes (PZ, Quick Serve, IQAs, SFC, etc.).

• Play a key role in securing new business for Cummins.
• Contribute to the development of efficient and reliable power solutions.

• A Bachelor of Science or Technology in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the generator and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) industry.
• 5-10 years of experience designing and executing projects in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of the power generation industry and customer base.
