SUMMARY:
My client, a dynamic and growing manufacturing company based in Johannesburg South, is seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. This role will be responsible for managing the full finance function and ensuring the smooth running of their financial operations.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and management accounts
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Monitor cash flow, expenditure, and financial performance
Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Manage financial audits and liaise with Auditors
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes
Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial reporting

Requirements:

Strong background in manufacturing industry accounting
Experience with financial reporting and management accounts
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks)
Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team
Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., BCom, CIMA, or equivalent)
