Minimum requirements:

• Relevant experience in cable / telecommunications / wireless network installations or related field
• A+ and N+ qualification or relevant qualification (advantageous)
• Valid Fall Arrest certificate (advantageous)
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle
• Matric
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Willing to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc)
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working at heights (rooftops, ladders, etc)
• Ability to operate hand tools (drills, hammers, screwdrivers, etc)
• Able to carry heavy objects
• Willing to work extra time

Duties and responsibilities:

• Installations of internet connections and network systems for private use, businesses and companies
• Prepare and compile daily quotations (e.g. repair status, upgrades, installation, and or maintenance on internet connections, physical damages, etc.) for the purpose of conveying information
• Diagnose causes of internet connection problems for the purpose of identifying equipment and or systems repair and replacement needs
• Operating equipment and tools used in the diagnoses of connection systems
• Repairs on internet connections and other components and or systems for the purpose of maintaining connections
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of all systems and services
• Maintain systems and equipment and network systems for the purpose of ensuring the availability and proper operation of services and systems
• Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items to complete the necessary installation or repair
• Follow specific procedures for warranty- and non-warranty products by means of maintaining excellent knowledge of guidelines and capabilities of technical shop, and ensure knowledge of the Manufacturer’s Warranty terms, conditions and requirements
• Demonstrate and explain to customers the establishment’s services
• Ensure knowledge of all hardware, software, parts spares and services available in the technical shop
• Assist customers in decision-making process in terms of their account by answering customer queries regarding the store and merchandise
• Demonstrate after-sale service to clients

Work hours:

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 17:00

Remuneration:

R 7 000 - R 9 000 basic + Commission
