POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for a Technical Valve Sales Specialist to join their dynamic national sales team, based in Secunda. The ideal candidate should have completed a recognized apprenticeship in mechanical or instrumentation fields or have significant experience with flow-related equipment and instrumentation. A technical qualification, such as an N6 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, along with at least 5 years of experience working with manual and control valves, would be a strong advantage. Key responsibilities include evaluating client applications, providing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) solutions, and delivering excellent technical sales support. Proficiency in MS Office, exceptional communication skills, and familiarity with leading products like Actreg, Arca, and JC Valves are crucial. Applicants must reside in the Secunda area.
Education:
- Technical qualification (N6 or N Diploma - Mechanical Engineering Technician will be advantageous)
Job Experience & Skills Required:- Minimum of 5 years proven expertise in working with manual and control valves or similar flow-related systems and instrumentation.
- Skilled in assessing client applications or challenges and delivering tailored, long-term Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a strong command of computer-based tasks.
- Demonstrated success in managing sales calls, providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and delivering impactful client presentations.
- Established track record in technical sales with a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and cycle.
