POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
Identify and monitor training needs in the organization. Design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfil those needs. Evaluate level of technical personnel and training of improvement of technical employees. Facilitate, assess and moderate training, budgeting for training needs, facilitate/assess and moderate specific training.
Requirements:
- BEng / Relevant Technical qualification (Degree) or related
- Registered Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator
- 5 years’ experience technical/engineering/operational
- 5 years’ experience as a Facilitator/ Assessor/ Moderator (Technical and Operator)
- 1 year with CETA processes
- Valid driver’s license
- Fit for duty
- Fit for travel (Yellow Fewer Vaccination)
- Valid passport
- No criminal record
Duties:
- Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
- Develop group companies training strategy that aligns to the HCM training strategy while meeting the training needs within the Africa region.
- Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs.
- Implement effective and purposeful training methods.
- Develop training material specific for the region in accordance to the HCM standards.
- Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.

- Ensure training is conducted on all technical, soft skills, Safety and Kenkijin training in the group companies.
- Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
- Training programs monitored and evaluated in alignment with HCM training strategy.
- Keep abreast of training trends, developments and best practices.
- Create a curriculum to facilitate strategic management, technical and job specific training based on the organizations goals.
- Standard training nomination process implemented for the company and communicated effectively with all staff.
- Training vendor’s performance evaluated and managed accordingly.
- Training vendors identified in line with the procurement process.
- Ensure training is conducted on all technical, soft skills, Safety and Kenkijin training in the group companies.
- Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
- Training programs monitored and evaluated in alignment with HCM training strategy.
- Training plan for the group of companies developed, communicated and managed accordingly.
- Ensure nominated people are assigned to correct training schedules.
- Ensure training venue is available, clean, neat, organized and refreshments are available for training.
- Ensure training venue is accurately equipped and in a professional nature.
- Ensure manuals and printing materials is done according to set out standards.
- Inform stakeholders regarding the outcome of the training (passed/failed).
- Issue certificates to competent delegates timeously.
- Inform delegates when training courses are cancelled or postponed.
- Compile quotations on training schedules to customers. Ensure order number is received and invoice customers accordingly.
- Ensure payments are made after training.
- Identify training related problems and manage effectively to ensure effective training.
- Book external training for individuals. Obtain prices and sign off for external training.
- Ensure that weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly training reports for HCM is submitted accurately and timeously.
- Ensure that regional reporting to company is completed accurately and timeously.
- Report to line manager and management on training results, performances, attendance and related matter monthly
- Ensure that Workplace Skills Plan and the Annual Training Report is reported accurately and timeously.
- Provide support to subsidiaries in meeting their training targets.
- Develop group of companies training strategy that aligns to the HCM training strategy while meeting the training needs within the Africa region.
- Facilitate the quarterly training meeting with relevant stakeholders within the Africa region.
- Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs.
- Ensure training are completed within timeline for all group staff (Compliance / Technical / Soft Skills)
- Monitor the effectiveness of training provided within the region.
- Manage the correct numbers and disciplines of learners to ensure that needs are addressed.
- Provide training on equipment, systems and processes to internal staff and customers with focus training on customer services in accordance with SAQA and QCTO standards.
- Develop and adapt training courses and learning material for both Face to face and e-learning.
- Prepare, administer and review all assessments according to requirements and procedures; Maintain results in Learning Management System
- Train, maintain and administer Simulators in Training Centre.
- Conduct continuous training needs analysis.
- Ensure the Kenkijin philosophy, values, principles and behaviours are promoted and established through the business unit
