Technical Manager

SUMMARY:
A well establish Engineering company in the East rand is seeking the services of a Technical Manager

POSITION INFO:
Main Purpose of the Job
To develop and implement the company's technical strategy. Reporting to the CTO, this role oversees the Engineering
Implementation, Product Support, and OEM Integration teams. The Technical Manager is responsible for guiding the
team's technical decisions and strategies.



Education, experience and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field)
- Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline (preferred)
- Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, including engineering, product support, and
integration
- Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects
- Experience drafting technical specifications, standards, and supporting documentation
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards


Responsibilities
- Manage Engineering Implementation, Product Support, and OEM Integration teams
- Assist Product Development, Production, Repair, and International Support teams

- Review daily performance of teams and Stock Coordinator
- Provide monthly MANCO feedback to the CTO
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required by management
- Advanced knowledge of collision avoidance and pedestrian detection technologies and systems
- Proficiency in using engineering and design software
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems, sensor technologies, and real-time data processing
- Understanding of embedded systems and firmware development
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Advanced technical knowledge of Booyco products (CWS, PDS, CXS)
- SYSPRO production processes
- Engineering drafting practices and document management
