Technical Lighting Sales Specialist (with data management skills)

SUMMARY:
Job Summary:
Our client is looking for an experienced contract Technical Lighting Salesperson to join their team. You will be responsible for technical sales in the energy efficiency lighting projects space and assisting management with various tasks. There will also be a requirement to keep online and back-office data current.
 
Initially this will be a contract position but for the right candidate there are opportunities to grow in the role and into other areas of the business.
You will be working with large corporate entities so experience in a formal business sector will be advantageous.
 
The role is based in Johannesburg, but the sites are national. Given the nature of the work, significant travel may be required along with after-hours site visits. This will include driving to various sites so own transport is vital.
 
Strong technical lighting knowledge, Excel and Google Sheets and project management skills will be beneficial. The ability to learn about new lighting technologies will be required.
 
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of lighting projects from site inspections and audits through project approval to client sign off. You will also be required to oversee the project management function for your projects.
 
There will be an element of managing online and quoting data related to company projects.
