We are looking for an experienced professional water design engineer to not only lead and manage critical water and sanitation projects, but also take part in bigger picture thinking, providing critical support to realizing the future vision of the business unit. Role focus:

• Strategic management of engineering projects related to bulk water and sanitation
• Plan, design, tender, and monitor construction for large, multidisciplinary bulk water projects
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of projects while maintaining high-quality standards aligned with specifications and standards
• Mentor and develop junior staff members
• Collaborate with other senior staff to secure new clients and expand business opportunities
• Problem solving, quality control and productivity

Essential requirements:

• A BSc/BEng (Civil) degree and ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• 15-20 years of relevant experience in bulk water and sanitation infrastructure design
• Professional registration with SCAPCMP preferred
• Accomplished leadership and team management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication ability
• Proven budgeting and cost management experience

Technical Proficiency:

• Expertise in Civil Designer, Civil3D, AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with GCC2015, SABS1200, and COLTO standards.
• Proven experience with greenfield and brownfield projects
