Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about precision in cost estimation? Our client, a reputable manufacturing company based in Parow Industria, Cape Town, is seeking a Technical Estimator to join their dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with engineering, procurement, and sales teams to drive cost-effectiveness and support efficient decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update product costing databases.
• Compile and manage product Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring cost accuracy within 5%.
• Conduct time and motion studies for manufacturing processes.
• Gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and send out quotations promptly.
• Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with estimates and forecasts.
• Conduct tri-annual cost variance analyses and generate monthly costing reports.
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure accurate pricing strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Matric
• Proven experience in cost estimation or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier negotiations.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
