Key Responsibilities

• Lead the charge in handling Request for Quotations (RFQ) processes
• Play a pivotal role in selecting and reviewing supplier performance
• Negotiate winning contracts and pricing strategies
• Ensure smooth purchasing operations from approved vendors
• Source cutting-edge products and evaluate potential new vendors
• Dive into cost analysis and spearhead cost reduction initiatives
• Monitor and tackle issues, transforming them into opportunities
• Keep all stakeholders informed of any order delays

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field
• Mastery of commercial terms and conditions
• Exceptional planning, communication, and negotiation skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems
• Locomotive and/ or freight rail manufacturing experience - Preferable
