Our client, a leading player in the banking industry, is seeking to expand their team with a dynamic and technically proficient individual to join their finance function. We are looking for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong understanding of banking operations and technical accounting knowledge. The successful candidate will have experience in banking audits and will play a key role in supporting the finance team with technical accounting advisory, complex financial reporting, and compliance matters. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and is keen to take the next step in their professional career.

Duties:

Assist with technical accounting queries related to banking products, processes, and operations.
Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and other relevant regulations.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical accounting guidance and address complex accounting issues.
Provide accounting support on business projects, including new product launches and system implementations.
Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards within the banking sector.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

A newly qualified Chartered Accountant CA (SA)

Experience:

Proven experience in banking audits, including knowledge of banking operations and financial products.
Strong technical accounting expertise, with a thorough understanding of IFRS and relevant accounting regulations.
