SUMMARY:
Our Client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – Team Lead to lead a team in delivering innovative, data-driven solutions. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with leadership skills to drive impactful results and mentor team members.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications & Experience

Tertiary qualification in IT or related field.
Certification: DP-203 (Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure).
5–7 years of experience in data engineering or database development.
Expertise in data modeling, ETL solutions, and cloud-based tools (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks).
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Scala, and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Skills:

Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
Leadership and project management expertise.
Familiarity with Big Data and event processing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering:

Automate data collection and preprocessing for structured and unstructured data.
Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights.
Design and optimize data models, warehouses, and ETL solutions using tools like Azure Data Factory and SQL Server.
Leverage Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for advanced data processing.
Build real-time analytics and batch processing frameworks.

Leadership:

Guide and mentor team members to meet quality standards and timelines.
Foster collaboration and ensure effective client communication.
Identify and mitigate technical and project risks proactively.

Strategy & Planning:

Provide strategic technical input during project planning phases.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical strategies.
