POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Full accounting function.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns related to cryptocurrency holdings and transactions, including capital gains and income tax.
• Crypto Transactions: Analyze and account for the tax implications of various cryptocurrency transactions, including trading, mining, staking, and DeFi activities.
• Capital Gains Tax: Manage and report on capital gains tax arising from the sale, exchange, or disposal of cryptocurrencies.
• Income Tax: Handle income tax reporting for cryptocurrency-based earnings, such as crypto salaries, mining rewards, airdrops, and staking income.
• Cross-Border Transactions: Address tax issues related to cross-border cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring compliance with international tax laws and treaties.
• Tax Strategy: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for individuals and businesses involved in cryptocurrency investments and operations.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on evolving cryptocurrency tax regulations at local, national, and international levels, ensuring compliance with authorities like the IRS, HMRC, and other global regulators.
• Advisory: Provide expert guidance on the tax treatment of complex crypto transactions and navigate the regulatory framework surrounding digital assets.

• Experience: 5+ years of tax accounting experience, preferably with exposure to cryptocurrency or digital assets.
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of capital gains, income tax, cross-border taxation, and cryptocurrency tax regulations.
• Qualifications: CA(SA).
• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with crypto accounting software, blockchain technologies, and tax calculation tools.
