Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a seasoned Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles in the company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 8-10 years of experience in talent acquisition, and proficiency with applicant tracking systems. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with our European and APAC People team members.
Objectives of this role
• Provide strategic input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals.
• Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind.
• Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates.
• Form close relationships with People Leads to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers.
• Lead the initial screening of candidates' CVs and recommend suitable candidates to our in-country Head of People for further interviews
Responsibilities
• Partner with regional Heads of People to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
• Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks.
• Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
• Compile lists of the most suitable candidates by assessing their CVs, portfolios, and references.
• Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders.
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout the recruitment process.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts for niche roles across different markets, ensuring compliance with regional hiring regulations.
• Use platforms like LinkedIn, job boards, and University Portals to manage the candidate pipeline.
• Build strong relationships and ensure clear expectations with internal stakeholders, hiring managers, and candidates to ensure a smooth and positive recruitment experience.
Required skills and qualifications
• 8-10 years of experience in a talent acquisition or similar role.
• Extensive experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
• Proficiency with social media, CV databases, and professional networks.
• Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions to proactively source candidates.
• Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR tools to streamline the recruitment process.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources management or a similar field.
• In-depth knowledge of applicant tracking systems, preferably BambooHR.
• Experience recruiting for both professional and consultancy roles, ideally within the technology, strategy, or management consulting sectors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand their needs and deliver top-tier candidates in a timely manner.
• Ability to craft compelling job descriptions and candidate communication to enhance engagement and response rates.
• Experience building talent pipelines for future needs and maintaining long-term relationships with high-potential candidates.
