SUMMARY:
On behalf of our client, a highly regarded engineering consulting firm known for their technical excellence and innovative approach, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Tailings Engineer (Associate) to join their growing team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering tailings and mine waste management solutions to a diverse client base across mining, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Support and/or lead the design and analysis of tailings storage facilities (TSFs), water dams, and other mine waste containment systems
Conduct geotechnical assessments, stability analysis, and risk evaluations
Contribute to project planning, execution, and reporting across the full project lifecycle
Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables
Support business development initiatives and help grow the tailings practice
Ensure adherence to local and international standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Mining Engineering
3–7 years of experience in tailings engineering or related geotechnical disciplines
Strong understanding of dam design, construction, and monitoring principles
Proficiency in geotechnical modelling and analysis tools (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Slide2, etc.)
Previous consulting experience is highly desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive and collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
