Tactical Officer

SUMMARY:
2x Vacancies exist for Tactical Officers in the EPS Division based in the Western Cape.

POSITION INFO:
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Routine patrols within a dedicated area of responsibility with focus on crime prevention;
• Identify out of the ordinary behavior and actions, as well as respond to various types of incidents;

• PSIRA \registered Grade A.
• Valid Firearm competency ( business) 9mm, shotgun, manually / self loading rifle.
• Valid drivers license – years of driving experience taken into account.
• Tactical experience ( work done) – preferably SAPS OR military background , will get preference.
• Level 3 medical with defib – not a must can do courses to obtain certification dependent on experience and other attributes
• Dog handling ( sniffer and tracking dogs) – preferable - not a must can do courses to obtain certification dependent on experience and other attributes.
• Snake handling not a must can do courses to obtain certification dependent on experience and other attributes
• Impeccable verbal and written command of the English and Afrikaans language.
• Exceptional communication and PR skills up to CEO level.
• Attention to detail, excellent report writing.
• Computer / literate - skills basic word / Microsoft.
• Must be willing to under go the required background checks and pre-employment polygraph test.
