Job Description

Our client based in Pretoria has an opportunity for an energetic individual to join their team in the capacity of a Procurement Officer . The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

Negotiate prices for materials in accordance to demand seasonality
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation
Assist Procurement Manager with planning and procurement of raw materials (Import & local), as guided by procurement policy and procedure
Supplier performance management
Develop and implement an effective supplier base and partnerships to create a reliable and long-term source of supply
General Admin Duties, such as regular follow ups, update price schedules, approved supplier list.
Any other related Duties

Qualifications

Matric
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management or Equivalent

Skills

Atleast 3 years experience in the similar role
Experience in Chemical Procurement will be an added advantage

Salary/Package

R300k CTC
