TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER - AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Plant, Soil or Agricultural Sciences.
AVCASA (Advantageous) and BASOS (Mandatory) certificates
Diploma / certificate / courses in financial management / administration / marketing
Minimum of 7 years’ practical sales and business development experience in commercial agriculture
Hands-on experience in crop production, farm implements, irrigation and general agricultural practice
Proven experience of growing sales within an area as well as influencing the shift required to grow business
Leadership mindset to influence the market within a business area
Tenacity to go the extra mile
Gravitas to hold the space for the difference to be made
Strong administrative and interpersonal skills
Advanced computer literacy and presentation skills
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Promote the company’s products and profile
- Compile and implement a sales and marketing strategy
- Manage sales and product forecasts
- Offer reliable and dependable technical support to agents and farmers on a variety of crops
- Coordinate product training, promotions and marketing in general
- Assist in the development and identification of niche market products/opportunities
