POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Plant, Soil or Agricultural Sciences.
• AVCASA (Advantageous) and BASOS (Mandatory) certificates
• Diploma / certificate / courses in financial management / administration / marketing
• Minimum of 7 years’ practical sales and business development experience in commercial agriculture
• Hands-on experience in crop production, farm implements, irrigation and general agricultural practice
• Proven experience of growing sales within an area as well as influencing the shift required to grow business
• Leadership mindset to influence the market within a business area
• Tenacity to go the extra mile
• Gravitas to hold the space for the difference to be made
• Strong administrative and interpersonal skills
• Advanced computer literacy and presentation skills
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Valid driver’s licens
• Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Promote the company’s products and profile
  • Compile and implement a sales and marketing strategy
  • Manage sales and product forecasts
  • Offer reliable and dependable technical support to agents and farmers on a variety of crops
  • Coordinate product training, promotions and marketing in general
  • Assist in the development and identification of niche market products/opportunities
