We Are Hiring a Senior/Sous Chef for a Sushi Restaurant - Stellenbosch
Are you a passionate and skilled chef looking for your next opportunity in a world-class kitchen? We are looking for a Senior/Sous Chef to work alongside our Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring culinary excellence, and leading a talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead and manage the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef
✅ Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain the highest standards
✅ Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring skills development
✅ Manage kitchen stock, ingredient rotation, and maintain quality assurance
✅ Implement food safety, hygiene, and waste reduction protocols
✅ Assist with menu creation and ensure dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation expectations
✅ Maintain staff schedules and oversee daily operations
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Culinary Diploma with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a senior chef role
✔ Strong leadership and team management skills
✔ Own transport & valid driver’s license
✔ Excellent communication & organizational skills
✔ Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality cuisine
✔ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends & public holidays
✔ Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
