Our Client in the Automotive Component Industry has a new position available as a Supply Chain Supervisor located in Port Elizabeth E.C.

POSITION INFO:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating the functions of procurement of materials, components, and services according to the overall company objectives.
• Responsible for driving inventory sourcing, negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure materials ordered, supplied at optimal cost, meet ISO 9001 requirements and technical specifications.
• Coordinate the Master Production Schedule in terms of chassis movement.
• Addresses issues and bottlenecks with internal departments by constantly monitoring orders, understanding, and mitigating risks on delivery timelines and documenting solutions and take corrective action as required.
• Coordinate the parts logistics, relating to customer sales (picking, packing & shipping) as well as overseeing the company’s supply chain movements in terms of trucks, materials & components.

• Tertiary Qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Supply Chain & Logistics
• 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain
• Excellent firm negotiating skills.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Sound IT Skills (Excel, SAP etc.)
• Knowledge of Engineering/Truck Body building process will be advantageous.
• Driver’s license
