SUMMARY:
We are assisting our client in recruiting for an Experienced, well-spoken Supply chain manager.

POSITION INFO:
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Business or Logistics Management/Supply Chain Management
Business Administration Qualification (MDP/MAP/PDM)

EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES

10 years in supply chain and logistics environment
Exposure to the Heavy Engineering/Manufacturing environment
Knowledge of applicable public sector legislation including: Public Finance Management Act, Knowledge of 1999 Framework for Supply Chain Management Preferential Procurement Policy Framework and associated regulations
Knowledge of Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act No. 53 of 2003
Knowledge of Construction Industry Development Board Act 38 of 2000 Municipal Finance Management Act of 56 of 2003
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Able to organize, plan and monitor all aspects of the work.

AUTHORITY

To sign Purchase Requisitions co-sign Purchase Requisitions as per Group and High Voltage’s Procurement Policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Procurement Management:

identify and put in place the action programs and metrics to successfully drive performance improvements in the area of direct spend
Lead preferential procurement practices in accordance with the South African broad-based black economic empowerment codes
Oversee all enterprise development initiatives to ensure maximum compliance with the broad-based black economic empowerment codes
Uphold principles and values, business controls, ethics, policies and procedures, and professional standards.
Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity, logistics, and inventory strategies to achieve synergy across the operations

Production Stores Management:

Oversee Warehousing & Logistics
Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and dormant material effectively.
Develop methods and procedures for scheduling of raw materials, parts and services from suppliers to support achieving customer demand and minimizing cost impacts.
Manage, supervise and direct Stores personnel.
