Supply Chain & Costing Specialist – Pharma / Health Care (POS25053) Midrand R 1 mill per annum Job Purpose: Plan and co-ordinate all financial matters within the Supply Chain Department to meet company objectives in terms of profitability, cost maintenance, product costing (new and old products), supply chain financial budgeting, reporting and projects ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of data for the optimum functional ability of the purpose which will enable the desired measurements and benefits of these activities to be achieved. Assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models. Requirements:
- Relevant Degree – Supply Chain and or Cost Management
- 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain and Cost management
- Must be from Pharmaceutical / Medical / Healthcare industry (IMPORTANT)
- Excellent understanding of Supply Chain
- Financial understanding of Oracle and bill of materials (BOM’s)
- Oracle experience
Duties:
- Set up annual / monthly Oracle costing system.
- Oracle Cost Maintenance for OTC Third Party suppliers
- Annual cost of goods (COG) Budgeting Process.
- Ad hoc customer project tasks, including manual costings, tender submissions, reports, analyses etc
- Costing/inventory valuation compliance – interaction with external and internal Auditors
- Month End reporting - Exchange rate effect on third party products, sales versus forecast analysis, value streams, Stock days forecast method, return material advise (RMA) analysis, Cost savings, Cost master, supply cost management (SCM) dashboard, 3-year sales value/quantity by product. Supplier Sales/COG's/Margin analysis.
- Compilation of Department budget
- Backup for management accountant (MA) for Oracle system updates and maintenance.
- Inventory reporting including:
- Early warning indicator:
- Weekly / factory back orders
- Weekly dashboard
- Monthly sales and operational planning (S&OP) presentation
- Monthly forecast accuracy
- Stock less than 12 months to expiry date
- average % days in stock
- Monthly out of stock analysis
- Calculation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) levies
- Waste analysis.
- Cross collaboration with procurement to drive availability and lower cost of raw materials.
