Statutory Actuary

POSITION INFO:

• Assist the Head of Actuarial in preparing reports for management and board committees, including statutory reports.
• Oversee product development, pricing, and product management across the company.
• Manage model governance processes.
• Lead ad hoc projects related to product management, valuation, solvency, and financial reporting.
• Review and report on various aspects of the actuarial function.
• Experience with long-term insurance products and financial reporting (IFRS, EV, and SAM).
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
• Detail-oriented, technically excellent, and able to manage stress and deadlines.
• Independent, proactive, and focused on adding value and driving development.

• Registered with a recognized professional body of the actuarial profession.
• Qualified Actuary: Fellow or Associate (FASSA, AMASSA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience with relevant exposure to financial reporting.
