SPA MANAGER - 5* Spa 

STELLENBOSCH | Western-Cape, South Africa 

START: A.S.A.P

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

• Monday - Sunday
• 09:00 - 18:00 (must be flexible with shifts)
• 1x weekend off per month
• Days off in the week

REPORT TO: Spa Director

MINIMUM RQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be based in within the Cape Winelands (Stellenbosch / Paarl / Franshoek / Somerset West / Wellington, etc.)
2. Own, reliable vehicle due to location of the spa
3. Beautifully groomed & professionally presentable
4. Managerial experience is essential
5. Warm, welcoming and nurturing leader soft skills

QUALIFICATION:

1. Certification from a recognized Training facility with qualifications in either Spa / Beauty / Cosmetology / Spa Management
2. City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP

EXPERIENCE:

1. At least FIVE years experience in a Senior Therapist / Managerial capacity
2. Previous employment in a luxury establishment / hotel or cruise ship spa essential
3. Managing a sizeable team of professionals
4. Revenue, forecasting, budgeting and marketing experience
5. Experience working with VIP and high-end clients

KEY SKILLS:

1. Computer literate and confident
2. Able to train staff on spa protocols and follow up on company brand trainings
3. Able to lead and develop employees and services
4. Knowledge of spa procedures
5. Ability to focus attention on guest needs
6. Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa
7. Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
8. Knowledge of and ability to sell spa products
9. Able to assist with ad-hoc duties in other departments of the property if operationally required by management
10. Comfortable performing spa & beauty therapies when operationally / ad-hoc required
