POSITION INFO:
Our client in Bloemfontein is seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Field Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of solar energy systems while maintaining high safety standards.

Minimum requirements:
- Electrical Trade Test
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in solar installation is essential
- OHS certification and knowledge of OHS standards is desirable
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Travelling will be required (All over South Africa)
Skills required:
- Safe handling of tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, panel boards, solar panels, batteries, and roofing materials
- Proficiency in roof work and general maintenance tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in extreme weather conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
Duties and responsibilities:
- Travel to various cities all over South Africa
- Assemble and install solar arrays and mounting hardware
- Install and configure solar inverters and backup systems
- Perform electrical wiring for all energy products
- Supervise assistant personnel and manage issued stock
- Maintain safety standards and job site cleanliness effectively
- Perform general electrical wiring and operational tasks as needed
- Interact with clients during installation and assist with setup of applications
Remuneration:
R 15 000 - R 20 000 , depending on experience and qualifications + Company car, company laptop and company vehicle
Work hours and days:
Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
Friday - 08:00 - 16:00
