Accountant / Snr Bookkeeper

Port Elizabeth

Our client an Accounting Firm requires and experienced Accountant/Snr Bookkeeper to manage the team that will handle one of their large clients inhouse bookkeeping/accounting for 30 companies across the world.

Experience:

Ability to learn or know VAT and Bookkeeping allocations for different counties (eg Germany / Italy / UK etc.)

Bookkeeping/accounting knowledge of imports / exports and foreign currency 

Good understanding of financial accounting principles as relates to the processing of transactions that will be required in this role

Experience with processing computerised transactions on an ERP system (Xero)

Handle the inhouse bookkeeping for 30 companies across the world

Ability to lead a team of 3 to 4 Jnr Bookkeepers

Requirements:

Matric plus 3-year Finance related qualification

Minimum 4 years + experience in bookkeeping/accounting 

Knowledge of imports / exports and Foreign currency advantageous

Good understanding of financial accounting principles as relates to the processing of transactions required in this role

Experience with processing computerised transactions on an ERP system

Xero accounting package expert an added advantage

Advanced level of computer literacy - Ms Excel

Good communication skills, good work ethic, able to self drive and self motivate

Able to work under instruction but grow the position themselves

Able to go to Germany for at least one month for training
