Site Engineer GCC

SUMMARY:
A large, international company, dealing within the FMCG environment, has an opportunity for a Site Engineer with a GCC and ammonia experience.

POSITION INFO:
The ideal person will be in possession of at least an N6 or Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Must be in possession of GCC / or in the process of acquiring a GCC within 6 months from the date of appointment, with 2-4 years of relevant experience or alternatively a Graduate Engineer who has a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate practical experience in operations and maintenance, appropriate to the class of machinery. (Or is a Certificated Engineer.)

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years relevant management experience.
• Relevant completed Trade Tests are essential (3 Phase electrical Trade Test, etc.).
• Responsible for electrical, mechanical, scales, refrigeration, grounds & buildings and rendering and boilers plants.
• Planning maintenance schedules for plant machinery.
• Obtaining quotations and ordering spares.
• Controlling and eliminating breakdowns.
• Ensuring optimum water, electricity, and coal consumption.
• Projects and costing.
• Continuous improvement.
• Budgeting and financial controls including cost savings.
• Stock control over engineering equipment.
• Driving HACCP systems for both the processing plant and the Maintenance Department to ensure all-inclusive compliance.
• Responsible for Health & Safety and accident / incident investigations for the Maintenance Department.
• Management and training of maintenance employees including KPI’s.
• Minimising plant down-time.
• Future planning to ensure maximum efficiency of the plant.
