SUMMARY:
VACANCY FOR A SITE AGENT
We have a position available in the KZN Region for a SITE AGENT to oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure that the construction project is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

• Supervise and manage the activities of contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Address any issues or delays promptly and effectively.

• Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available on-site.
• Manage the procurement and delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs and progress reports.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team.
• Provide regular updates to clients on project status and address any concerns or queries.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and maintaining open communication.

• Implement and enforce health and safety policies on-site.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure that all workers adhere to safety protocols.
• Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on-site.

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• CCS Candy and Buildsmart knowledge advantageous

• 7+ years’ experience in a Site Agent role
• 7+ year’s experience in working on Steel Pipeline and Reinforced Concrete Water Retaining
• Cost and allowable reporting skills advantageous
• Own vehicle preferable
• Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.

• Proficiency in use of MS Projects
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to work.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements.
