POSITION INFO:
Experience

• The successful incumbent will have at least two (2) years’ experience as a client portfolio manager / underwriter.

• Class of Business in Short-term Personal and Commercial Lines.
• B-Com Degree or a Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance – NQF 5 (minimum 120 credits).
• Regulatory Exam for representatives (RE5).

• Marketing of Short-Term Insurance products – personal and commercial line insurance.
• Building and maintaining business relationships with clients.
• Analyse markets, service providers and products to meet set targets.
• Focus to add new clients on the portfolio.
• Discussing and assessing clients’ current and future short-term insurance needs.
• Researching insurance policies and products and stay informed with change strategies from service providers.
• Negotiating policy terms and costs with insurance providers.
• Arranging insurance cover for clients with the insurance provider.
• Keeping detailed records on the relevant systems.
• Preparing management reports.
• Advising clients on claims.
• Renewing or amending existing policies for clients.
• Undertaking general administrative duties.
• Marketing ventures to reach minimum goals.
• All new and existing clients must be aware of the complete Financial Service that the Company renders.
• Maintain constant portfolio growth through the recruitment of new clients.
• Give guidance to Administrators with regard to work procedures.
