POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Shipping Estimator.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in shipping lines, unpacking and repacking of containers, customs, and freight forwarding.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work efficiently and under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work from 07:00 to 17:00, with weekend work as required.
• Ability to work in a depot/warehouse setting.

• Identify and assess new work opportunities related to container status upon receipt.
• Estimate the size, cost, and value of materials required for container repairs.
• Determine the exact cost and time required for quoting on container unpacks and repacks.
• Source, order, and acquire necessary materials for jobs.
• Capture and document estimates on various platforms.
• Maintain accurate control and record-keeping of all related activities.
• Responsible for providing accurate quotes on unpacking and repacking of containers.
